We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Performance Analyst here at Whitbread. Working with a variety of areas, including Pricing, Digital Marketing, and Sales & Distribution, the Business Performance team provide a holistic view of the Premier Inn business and support the commercial performance across UK and Germany. We’re looking for a Business Performance Analyst who will be at the heart of an exciting and fast paced team, playing a significant role in making change happen every day. You will add value in this end-to-end role by working alongside stakeholders and using your analytical skills to drive powerful insights to facilitate change and promote growth in the Premier Inn business.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive business action through researching and analysing key business projects and new concept development.
  • Support senior management decision making by providing commercial analysis and insight, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the production of UK & Germany reporting on key performance indicators, identifying trends in the data, and concisely communicating the story to the Business Performance Manager and Head of Location & Commercial Strategy.
  • Production and development of occupancy and revenue forecasts for UK & Germany to assist budgeting processes.
  • Analysis of Premier Inn performance vs key competitors, supporting in the provision of competitor and market data to the business.
  • Step-change existing reporting and processes by identifying improvements to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Key support for trading statement data and other ad-hoc business queries.

Why we’d love you to apply:

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in compelling logic.
  • Ability to work with vast amounts of data, managing data end to end, transforming various sources of data in to easily understood, actionable analysis and insight.
  • Brilliant commercial awareness, preferably displayed in a similar previous role, with enthusiasm for market analysis and insight.
  • Strong story-telling skills, with the ability to communicate to non-data literate stakeholders with ease.
  • Experience in working with large and complex data models, or experience in Power BI/Tableau report building.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Degree level or CIMA part qualified/finalist.
  • A Level in Maths or equivalent.
