Prime Video Content Analytics (PVCA) team seeks an outstanding Business Intelligence Engineer to help the business leverage data better to produce new insights and enable smarter decision making. You will own, develop and manage business processes, tools and technology that help Prime Video teams and leadership make better business decisions for our customers. You will work with data scientists to create and integrate complex performance forecasting models for Prime Video content launches and translate those into automated actions that will help marketing, merchandising, planning and content teams. In this role, you will also work with key business stakeholders to identify business challenges and translate them into technical requirements that can be solved with BI and Analytics tools.

You will relentlessly find opportunities to automate redundant tasks and aim to create state-of-the-art tools and technology that support different business teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
-Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing (to be tested at interview)
-Multiple years of experience in data engineering or analytics within a technology environment
-Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools
-Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required
-Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
-Knowledge of data management and modeling fundamentals and data storage principles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
-Expert in writing and tuning SQL scripts
Experience working in very large data warehouse environments
-Familiarity with AWS solutions such as Redshift, S3, EC2, Quicksight is a plus but not required
-Experience in creating user interfaces and internal business facing applications
-Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making
-Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
-Experience building large scale data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources
-Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
-Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby etc.)
