Role Summary 

Evernorth has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated communications professional to lead the communications program for its Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) organization. Specifically, this individual will develop and deliver a cohesive integrated communications plan that elevate the position and role of data and analytics in delivering affordable, predictable and simple health care.

This individual will bring a data-driven, analytics-led orientation to the role – providing proactive strategic counsel to GD&A leadership on internal and external communications opportunities to demonstrate how actionable intelligence empowers decision making and drives value creation through our innovative solutions across Cigna and Evernorth. Areas of focus include: external communications strategy that helps build our brands in the marketplace and internal cross-enterprise communications that strengthen awareness.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Key Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the Enterprise Communications team, identify and drive outside speaking events and other external communications opportunities (strategic papers, earned media, conferences, social media, etc.) that align with our strategy.
• Generate internal communications campaigns tied to GD&A priorities to increase awareness and understanding among various internal audiences across the broad employee population.
• Build internal communications that educate the enterprise on strategic GD&A initiatives influencing clients, customers and the broader company, when appropriate.
• Ensure all communications and materials (internal and external) are consistent with the brand and culture.
• Monitor and evaluate results of communications programs, using specific metrics to track progress and insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or Master’s degree preferred, in communications or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience communications or related work.
• Experience in employee, external and executive communications required
• Change management experienced desired
• Thoughtful and influential leadership style, with the ability to develop strong relationships with senior leaders.
• Ability to translate complex, technical content into concise and compelling stories.
• Strong verbal communications, with a proven ability to present and clearly articulate and connect strategies and recommendations with senior executives.
• Superior writing and editing skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels.
• Agility in working in a matrixed organization model.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Proactive self-starter who can jump into virtually any scenario – demonstrating good judgment as well as tact and discretion to work with Cigna employees at all levels.

This role is Work at Home / Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
