We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Business Development Manager. 

The role of the Business Development Manager is to bring our new digital capabilities to new and existing customers achieving revenue for the Group by originating leads, building and maintaining strategic relationships and delivering new customer activations.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and deliver new sales for our new digital capabilities – primarily Global Wallet but not limited to just one product as we will continually be developing new products
  • Being available to showcase HSBCnet / Global Wallet and its capabilities to new and existing clients 
  • Working in conjunction with on boarding to optimise sales made 
  • To help educate and train the regions on our new digital capabilities
  • Customer planning and monitoring/contact as part of the Commercial Banking (CMB) client planning process
  • Maintaining close liaison with key stakeholders so as to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services
  • Working with key stakeholders including, but not limited to CMB, Product Development, Client Management to ensure a positive client experience
  • Keeping the Management informed of progress / major obstacles towards progress on Sales performance
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Continually reassessing the Sales process through to implementation and work closely with other stakeholders to identify efficiencies

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

  • Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of GLCM
  • Track record and proven experience of high volume calling activity through warm leads delivering new business sales 
  • track record of successfully identifying and developing significant/complex business propositions, that attract and entrench customers, in a fair and ethical way
  • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
  • Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively  
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes

The base location for these roles are flexible across the UK. hybrid and flexible working options are available.
