Job Summary
For our European Automotive Team we are hiring a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to be responsible for one or more of our Automotive Tier or OEM accounts. The job holder will systematically expand existing customers and new customers according assignment. The position will be based preferably in Stuttgart but can be filled in remotely from anywhere in Germany. Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:• Develop and maintain long term, result-oriented business relationships with automotive customers.• Observe and analys relevant markets, technologies and competitors and derive customer and portfolio oriented sales strategies.• Acquire new business incl quote preparation, negotiations and contract review.• Prepare Revenue- and OP forecasts (3YP).• Co-operate with Global Account Managers and Site Program Managers.• Be responsible for coordination and management of all activity and communication flows that help preserve existing business as well as generate new business incl. the initiation of sales promotional measures, generation and processing of customer orders and management of new launches and discontinuations with respective price adjustments.• Analyse customer complaints and formulate the solutions (addressing of tasks and affected departments).• Participate in KVP and measures for the improvement of program returns (Get Well)• Participate in the regular monitoring of contract parameters (quantities, amortization, cost and price bases, exchange rates, and calculation of price-increase adjustments for materials).• Prompt documentation of sales activities in common systems and processes.• Prepare all required contract data and price agreements in the course of project/program transfer to the program management team and production plants.• Monitor the program related change management.Here is some of what you'll need:• Technical or/and Commercial degree (Master or Bachelor)• Solid sales experience in the automotive industry (10+ years)• Excellent communication and customer orientation skills paired with strong negotiation skills• Goal oriented (Revenue, OP, Customer Satisfaction) personality• Excellent English and German skills• Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.• Willingness to travel as required
