We couldn’t achieve this without our Mortgage Intermediary Development team and the passion for building strong relationships that our Field Business Development Managers demonstrate. We now have the unique opportunity for a professional and passionate person to join us as a field based Mortgage Business Development Manager.

In the role you’ll be responsible for ensuring our Intermediary strategy is effectively promoted, by using an effective mix of face to face and virtual interactions within your territory to meet the needs of our intermediary partners. This is a hybrid based position with 3 days minimum out on the road and 2 days from home which must be in one of the following postcodes: PE, CB, NR or IP

Whilst being field based, the role very much works in partnership with our successful telephone team. You will jointly manage (with your TBDM partner) a territory of Mortgage Intermediary brokers and firms. You’ll ensure you really get the best value out of these relationships for all parties, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks, working in a consultative and collaborative way.

About You

To be successful in the role you’ll already have in-depth, current experience from the mortgage intermediary sector, either as a Business Development Manager or account management; however this does not need to be in the field. Applications from Mortgage Telephone BDM's would certainly be considered.

You’ll have excellent communications skills, with evidence of an ability to build rapport and trust with business professionals and stakeholders across all levels. The ability to build rapport and influence will be key as well as being focused on working in a consultative way to build long term business relationships, whilst maintaining reputation and integrity. Being passionate about mortgages and as well as being extremely organised, proactive and self-motivated will be important.

You’ll have the ability to effectively negotiate and influence with a sound commercial knowledge and solid understanding of the UK mortgage market. Being extremely organised, self-motivated and enjoy being part a greater team will be important. Being a field based role you’re responsible for your own diary and where you need to be.
