Job Description:
As a Platform Investment Specialist, you will be responsible for driving net new sales in Portfolio Solutions products and services across TAMP, FinTech and Platform relationships. You will be the primary subject matter expert on all Model Portfolio and SMA products along with Fidelity’s investment thought leadership. You will work with existing TAMP/FinTech partners to grow our relationships as well as working with new relationships to broaden our model and SMA distribution. You will be a key contributor to the broader TAMP/FinTech landscape and own the strategy and updates to key business partners. You will have the support of an experienced team, where an inclusive and motivating culture is critical.

We are a gateway to Fidelity’s broad and deep institutional investment management products and capabilities in equity, fixed-income, high-income and global asset allocation. As a platform investment specialist, you will have a direct impact on revenue and profitability for the firm. However, our most critical skill is our ability to listen to our clients so we can respond with purpose and conviction.
The Expertise You Have
FinTech/TAMP technology landscape knowledge
5 -10 years investment related experience (either sales, relationship management, or product management)
Managed Account Experience
Investment operations and distribution experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA
Strong experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
Series 7 & 63 licenses required. Series 65 preferred.

A strong background on the relevant TAMP/FinTech firms and the product distribution they offer
A solid understanding of the operational complexity required to delivery model portfolios through TAMPs, Fintechs
Awareness of key technology trends and differentiators within the growing FinTech marketplace
Fidelity’s investment capabilities including Model Portfolios, SMAs, UMAs,
Comprehensive understanding Broker Dealer/RIAs and how technology needs and integrations differ between clients and platforms
Ability to articulate detailed and strategic status updates to relevant internal business partners on Model Portfolio/SMA distribution and availability within our FinTech/TAMP partners
Capability to balance resolve and temperament while working in a highly collaborative environment, with a frequent focus on gaining consensus across a broad spectrum of investment management, distribution, product management and senior management constituents
The Value You Deliver
Executing on Key Performance Indicators with a focus on growing distribution and sales of Model Portfolios and SMAs with existing and new TAMP/FinTech partners
Owning and monitoring all legal contracts and finance proposals for sales opportunities with FinTech/TAMP clients
Managing Finance P&L of existing client relationships and pipeline activity and communicating status on business case assumption goals
Working through operational nuances of servicing these technology partners including FIX connection capability, pricing negotiations, as well as trading/rebalancing delivery
Leading internal industry discussions around TAMP/FinTech strategy, best practices and thought leadership to better align with these platforms as they continue to change and adapt to the advisor market
Delivering relevant marketing collateral and sales initiatives to the broader FI sales organization to drive additional education and distribution of Model Portfolios and SMAs
This role is flexible on location and you will be able to work from home. We will not relocate a candidate.
