Storengy Uk has an exciting opportunity to join our expending Business Development Team.  We have ambition plans for growth and are seeking a dynamic indiviudal to support our Business Developer in carrying out financial analysis of biogas project opportunities. 

Key activities/ accountabilities

SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT

• Monitor changes in the Environment Agency (EA), DEFRA and other agro-environmental regulations for the permitting of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) sites

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Support Business Developer carry out assessment of biogas business development opportunities
• Identify feedstock suppliers i.e. waste, farming, sewage, and food and beverage 
• Analyse feedstock mix and biogas yield potential
• Define digestate off-take route and pricing
• Carry out industry research to understand feedstock / digestate market pricing and trends
• Carry out research into UK biogas market to understand new trends and define new opportunities for Storengy UK
• Monitor technology advances in the biogas industry
• Prepare pre-planning applications and discuss with planning authority 

Skills/ Experience required to perform role

• 0-5 years’ experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Bio energy crops, soil structure, biology, organic matter, biofertilizer
• High interest in the field of renewable energy
• Independent, organised, and thorough 
• Good presentation and verbal skills
• Mobile for ad hoc business travels. Driving license essential.
• Manage workload through prioritising

Relevant Education

• Agricultural or Engineering degree – Essential
• Knowledge of Anaerobic Digestion technologies and installations – Desirable
• Knowledge of Organic and Agricultural waste - Desirable
