Work environment 

You will join our UK entity for the Business Line Nuclear and report to the UK Managing Director.

The main mission is to develop the local business aligned with UK development strategy of the Business Line Nuclear.  You will develop projects to support both Business Entities Belgium and France including provision of local services to customers in the UK.

You will join a recently created Tractebel entity with very ambitious goals and exceptional projects. Created to support New Build projects localised in the UK, the entity’s mission is to promote Tractebel as a key player of the nuclear business in the UK.

You will be part of a dynamic, highly motivated and multicultural team. You will take a key role in achieving our ambition to boost our internationalisation and diversification strategy.

Mission 

Your role is to:

  • Maintain existing relationships with Tractebel UK key clients and business partners
  • Identify potential clients in the nuclear market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business needs in alignment with Tractebel business growth strategy
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients
  • Establish and maintain effective formal and informal relationships with clients, business partners, relevant government departments and agencies, regulators and other stakeholders in general
  • Contribute, in coordination with the Managing Director and the Nuclear Business Line, to the definition of the commercial strategy
  • Acquire good knowledge on Tractebel business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Develop further the nuclear activities of Tractebel in the UK for all our Services and Products (NPP New Build, Plant Operation Support, Radwaste and D&D, SMR and Nuclear Medical Applications, Advanced Technologies) jointly with the Business Developers (BD) community of the Nuclear Business Line
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Managing Director or Project Directors on the applicable local rules and regulations
  • Perform watch and competitor analysis, benchmarking
  • Lead prequalification procedures and support bid management teams where necessary
  • Attend nuclear events with BD community support
  • Work alongside ENGIE Group Companies to jointly develop target markets in the UK

Profile 

  • MEng in Civil Engineering or Master Degree with work experience in nuclear field (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and/or business development in the engineering sector 
  • Dynamic and highly motivated professional with a proven record of generating and building business and clients relationships
  • Demonstrated achievements in B2B sales and/or business development
  • Good understanding of the industry and the UK nuclear business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Native or fluent English speaker and ideally with elementary proficiency in French
  • Ability to understand the needs and to propose solutions for clients
  • Ability to work within a multicultural team
