The Role

We are looking for a Business Architecture (BA) Senior Analyst who will be responsible for key analytics and support within Fidelity’s Business Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE) team in the planning and implementation of a new digital automation platform. Fidelity is passionate about digitizing and automating client interactions, operational and business processes with the goal of simplifying customer journeys and reusing modular technologies.
You will work directly with the business to deliver analysis and insights on targeting high impact processes and will assist in developing end-to-end target state business designs considering people, process, and technology innovations. You will quantify the value of these solutions and assist in their rollout working with FMR’s Agile teams to inform product backlogs and ultimately implement the CoE’s architectural recommendations. Successful delivery will require you to become a trusted business partner and will require effective communication of your plan and the work to internal customers at all levels of the organization.
As a member of the APS Business Architect team, you will blend extensive business, engineering, and design expertise with a passion for influencing and collaborating with others. In an Agile structure you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to both advise and complete consistent practices and standards for the specialized skills and expertise of your CoE, and influence the strategic decisions, solutions development, and priorities related to your expertise. You are committed to developing your own expertise and providing thought leadership to our Clients and collaborating teams.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
BS/BA Degree required
5 years associated with operational assessment & design in either financial services, consulting, or both
2 years working with senior business change associates
Solid background in supporting major initiatives impacting companies top strategic goals & objectives
A foundation in Lean Six Sigma and/or Redesign/Re-Engineering experience a plus!
Strong analytical curiosity, critical thinking skills, a tried strength in sourcing, synthesizing, and converting data into consumable insights and recommendations.
Proven experience with problem breakdown, including issue/option/resolution framing
Strong facilitation of end-to-end process mapping sessions that identify issues
Ability to provide fundamental business insights from the information that is not obvious to others and leads to beneficial recommendations
Proven track record in constructing high quality work with applications such as Camunda Modeler, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint, with foundational BPMN skills in tools like Visio
The Team
This dynamic BA CoE works in a highly matrixed operating environment working with CoE Team Leaders, Business Partners, fellow Architects, and Agile teams across FI, PI, and WI. The team consists of a group of high-performance associates, ranging from senior analysts to directors. These associates will possess key business skills in operational strategy, business value analysis, planning, integration, and management systems. In addition, for initiatives requiring solution architecture, the team will use key technical skills in business analysis, lean and re-design, integrated & solution design with strong automation and digital competence
The Business Architecture team works together to identify our internal Client’s top business challenges, understanding their current state business, and supporting the development of future state solutions. These ground-breaking initiatives will be aligned to our Client’s key performance indicators, will help advise Agile backlogs, and will ultimately drive business outcomes that impact Fidelity’s strategic business plans.
