As a shared services organization, the Modern Analytics and Insights team supports the Customer Experience & Success and Cross Industry Solutions (with Microsoft Consulting Services therein) divisions. We are looking for a seasoned analytics leader who can drive the vision and strategy for our Business Excellence and Operations organizations by generating Data Driven transformative Insights. This will be accomplishable by leading the next generation Insights platform with ability to architect Descriptive, Inquisitive, Predictive, Prescriptive Insights by integrating, synthesizing, merging and transforming the existing BI & reporting data engines. This role will also require ability to partner with other engineering teams and organizations to enable a world class support experience and generate rich insights at scale with speed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Own the end to end insights creation-to-consumption lifecycle, leading business problem definition, hypotheses formulation, designing and delivering the solution
• Deliver on the insights across the traditional BI to advanced analytics, depending upon the business need
• Design and deliver the insights solutions in a hands-on manner as well as leading a small vendor team

• Engage broadly with stakeholders & business team leaders to structure and prioritize business problems where insights can have the biggest impact.
• Be a hands-on technical lead who can own, drive and develop an Advanced Analytics Insight from inception to release.
• Apply advanced analytics concepts in the realm of Classification, Regression, Forecasting techniques to yield futuristic rich and bold insights.
• Design holistic solution architectures for complex business problems across reporting ecosystem. Synthesize, merge and transform the existing Insights capabilities with the new experiences
• Lead the next generation Analytics and BI experiences as a self-serve capability and modernized user experience.
• Ensure high quality, adherence to standards and best practices, high performance, and scalable, repeatable processes and deliverables.
• Bias towards action by creating a contextual business narrative based on deep business understanding
• Develop strong narratives that are grounded in business realities and can connect the dots seamlessly
• Act as an evangelist and catalyst for insights innovation, aligned to the tactical and strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in Analytics with strong passion for solving big challenges with demonstrated history of innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in full development lifecycle of an Analytics platform
• Exposure to solving various business problems with advanced analytics skills in areas of Classification, Regression, Forecasting techniques
• Strong skills and experience in SQL.
• Experience and basic understanding of machine learning (Azure ML, Python) and advanced statistical modelling techniques, including ability to interpret model results and communicate recommendations based on application of analytics
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts
• An attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or closely related field
