POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Business Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the analysis, interpretation and communication of data/information used to identify and monitor process performance. Responsibilities are broken into two main functions. The first function is drug file related and involves determining the location of the new drug and the communication of tasks to all related departments. The second function of this role is to collect and analyze data that is then communicated to patients after a medication event compliant is entered. The analyst will provide the date to support the response to the claim, as well as suggest continuous improvement ideas to mitigate any further risk.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage, drive and continuously improve data collection, analysis and reporting process for key service metrics.

  • Design, build and/or maintain data capture and reporting.

  • Assure application backups, performance tuning and quality measures are maintained.

  • Implement process improvements.

  • Coordination with Inventory, CADS, ALPS and ADDS personnel on all drug file changes to facilitate drug changes.

  • Calculate the Unit Volume, Unit weight, and average piece weight in Averts and CADS. This calculation will determine the dispensing location as well as the manner of dispense. The analyst will own the implementation of the data analysis.

  • Coordinate and conduct testing for program additions and edits.

  • Calculate the dimensions and measurements, and quantity for channel size in ALPS. This calculation will determine the dispensing location as well as the manner of dispense. The analyst will own the implementation of the data analysis.

  • Collect and analyze organizational data to identify potential, existing or future service process issues.

  • Support, facilitate and manage corporate-driven efforts to improve, standardize, document and control service processes.

  • Work collaboratively with various departments to support program design and launch to meet timeline.

  • Maintain a variety of meet performance metrics.

  • The analyst will test each drug to ensure that the drug will dispense in the High Volume Filler. This task involves analyzing the characteristics of each drug to ensure that the automation equipment will properly dispense each drug.

  • Assist Management in defining the scope and objectives of department projects, develop preliminary project plan as project manager, design and project timeline, and communicate project status by tracking/reporting status of projects and risk factors.

  • Mentor internal customers to identify root cause, data needed, use of analytical tools, analyze and interpret performance metrics.

  • Support functional & organizational initiatives as required.

  • Collect and analyze organizational data to identify potential, existing or future service process issues. The analyst will provide root cause analysis to department leaders. They will team with the department leaders to determine improvement ideas, as well as monitor results after the change is implemented.

  • Collect and analyze data to reply to patient medication event claims. This information will be provided to the patient as well as be used to formulate continuous improvement plans to mitigate further events.

  • Own the planogram by assigning and relocating drugs within each dispensing area. The analyst will coordinate the activity of other departments to ensure new drugs are available for dispense. The activity is vital to ensure patient receive their medication as well as optimizer the cost to fill for each prescription


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-6 years of equivalent work experience.

  • 0-2 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products.

  • Recent experience creating Business Objects reports, designing, implementing and maintaining data universe structure using Business objects Universe designer preferred.

  • Tech license a plus but not required

  • Ability to learn computer skills on multiple platforms (Safire/Oracle/PAC systems/IDF)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.

  • Good communication between functional areas

  • Interpretation and application of data analysis.
