The Verint platform has allowed new capabilities to share insights with business partners.  Most Verint reports are leveraged from the front end of the application, but our data needs often go beyond what is available in front end reporting.  We need to develop SQL queries to pull reporting that is not available in the Verint front end and tune SQL for optimization.  As part of the Business Intelligence team, this position is a key role in designing, developing and supporting new and existing BI solutions for our users. Taking new data and leveraging it with existing data will enable meaningful and accurate information which the business can consume.

Responsibilities

• Develops SQL queries to support business questions.  The queries will be leveraged for ad hoc analysis and reused for production support on a schedule, leveraging BI tools.
• Makes decisions on best design for optimal query performance.
• Explores database tables and learns how to create relationships across diverse data structures.
• Proposes improvements to existing query processes and database table structures.
• Participates in active discussions with team members and users to understand business requirements of reports.
• Has an appreciation for automation and creating reporting solutions to speed up the delivery to business consumers. 
• Creates visualizations of data trends and outliers. 

Qualifications

• 5+ years Strong SQL knowledge
• Ability to understand and manipulate complex data relationships
• Ability to create and optimize SQL jobs
• Experience in SSRS, API knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works independently with minimal guidance and can research solutions independently to test and learn
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, etc.)
• Experience with reporting software such as Tableau, Cognos BI, and Microsoft Access.
• Experience with Speech Analytics and Contact Center metrics.
