We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner within the Supply Chain Technology team - Warehouse platform, with a primary focus on supporting the continuous improvement of warehouse systems including our state-of-the-art multi-million Euro warehouse automation technology, which currently supports the fulfillment of over 31m orders a year to our EU and selected non-EU markets and is targeting more growth.
We have got a mixture of small and large, exciting projects and space to innovate within the Warehouse Platform space that are critical to the commercial success of ASOS so it is a great time to join the team!
The successful candidate will primarily be based at our Eurohub warehouse located in the south of Berlin - (Grossbeeren), just south of Berlin. You can reach us via train (RE4 – 22min from Hauptbahnhof Berlin) or bus (711 / M11 / X11) or by car.
Responsibilities
Work with internal and external stakeholders, 3PL and suppliers to capture, analyse and validate business requirements for strategic new implementations for a range of systems within the automated fulfilment centre
Be the link between Tech and the business by understanding the commercial impact when implementing new warehouse processes
Collect, analyse, and transform the business needs into technical requirements
Use a strong and broad range of analytical skills to ensure data-driven decision making underpins all our projects
Understand and consider the relationship between the WMS and other connected systems in the ASOS tech landscape (website, finance, and cross platforms)
Support internal and external development and testing teams when assessing solution design and implementation for the project
Work in collaboration with project managers, solution architects, software developers, QA engineers and solution analysts
Keep up to speed with industry innovations and analysis on developments and trends, cascading to the wider team to ensure that ASOS are leading the way with the latest innovative solutions
Be an active member of our product owner / business analyst community
We would love to meet someone with…
Substantial experience in Warehouse/Fulfilment centre operations, preferably within a retail environment
Experience of working with WMS or ERP projects is highly desirable
Experience across the full IT project lifecycle in both structured and agile environment
Able to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, proactive and solution oriented
English is necessary, German is a plus, any other European language is a benefit
An understanding of process design & modelling, BPMN
Proactive, can-do attitude with a hands-on approach
Nice to have
Working or supporting software testing, UAT, familiarisation with software testing cycle
Experience in 3PL management and/or team lead position would be great
Being a Product Owner in a Technology department
Positive attitude with a sense of humour
