Cox Communications is searching for a Business Analyst for the Land Use and Compliance Support team. This group is tasked with supporting the market land use and compliance teams in the form of reporting, process, training and tool enhancement. To be effective, we need an analyst that has both strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with an ability to effectively communicate and partner with market leaders and frontline teams. This role will be pivotal in our success in advancing the reporting suite of the RAMT Dashboard, integration of compliance activity into the RAMT platform, data modeling and analysis of pole attachment invoicing and asset association, supporting market level performance and reporting needs and enabling the development and enhancement of the Land Use and Compliance tool set to support both market expansion as well as BAU activity.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Consults with internal customers and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes.
Performs research and fact-finding to determine business requirements for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support.
Create system requirements, collaborating with the design teams to determine that application, database, & other system impacts based on the requirements. The Business Analyst works closely with other members of the technical teams to ensure all requirements are addressed in the solution design.
Review and refine business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and traceable; and to ensure business requirements will be satisfied by the appropriate teams / applications.
Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs; document assumptions; assess project impact of system changes to users, internal and external customers
Develop System Requirements (SRQs), including process flows and use cases 5-Conduct SRQ reviews with project stakeholders and document consumers to ensure completeness and adherence to business requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Typically requires BS/BA or Associates degree in related discipline
Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field
2-4 years of experience in related field
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information or inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data
