Book Depository is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst Apprentice who would support us with building reporting and creating self-serve analysis for business users. You will work on some of the following on a day to day basis.
• Build business dashboards and reports, using visualisation tools, in line with the long term strategy set by the BI team
• Support the BI lead to translate reporting needs into requirements and develop self-serve dashboards to support these requirements
• Develop the skills with on the job training through Amazon tools such as Quicksight and develop SQL skills
• Partner with key stakeholders on analysis of datasets, and deep dive on Book Depository projects.
• Supports data analysis / reporting as needed and provide ad-hoc support for process assessments and Quick Wins / projects if required.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst Apprentice, you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills. You will work towards the Business Intelligence Analyst L4 apprenticeship standard. This role will be based in Gloucester but will have close links with a team based in London. Frequent travel between the two sites will be required.
You will build your skills over a 24 month fixed term contract, working with Business Intelligence Analytics team and supporting the data driven decision making of our business from our London office. You would be working closely with multiple business functions that as operations which will help you develop personally and professionally across the 2 years. You will attend sessions to cover four main areas;
· Classroom based training to cover knowledge,
· On-the-job training,
· Online learning,
· Mentoring from our People Experience team members.

Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data analysis and problem solving techniques, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

What we are looking for

Candidates should be 18 years or over and have the right to live and work in England. You have a good fundamental understanding of Excel and Microsoft Office, gained through self-study or formal experience or training up to level 3. You have the ability to think creatively and apply analytical and problem solving skills, driving issues to resolution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Academic qualifications

· 3 A levels or equivalent
· GCSE grade C/4 and above in Maths and English or equivalent

Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some professional experience within data related roles and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a degree in Data / Business Analysis or related subjects.

Preferred Qualifications / skills
These will be a plus for your career at Amazon, but are not necessary to enter the program.
