  • The business Analyst's primary objective is helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.

What will you be doing?

  • The role holder will liaise with Business and relevant stakeholders including Global IT teams and Vendor partners to define and document detailed User Stories and Impact Assessment documents
  • The role holder will undertake investigations into the system and understand system integrity across a range of IT systems.
  • The role holder will identify and manage requirements change, and its implications, across the lifecycle and manage traceability of requirements.
  • The role holder will conduct functional impact analysis in the event of changes to business objectives, requirements and/or technical architectures/platforms.
  • The role holder will identify & specify as necessary "as is" and "to be" business processes, business systems and associated data dependencies.
  • The role holder will support the technology and business teams involved in a project through the full SDLC.
  • This includes ensuring initial analysis is accurate, assisting development teams with queries. Writing and executing test scenarios and test cases. Support the business through the UAT phase by being responsible for answering questions about system functionality and ensuring business requirements are met by the system.
  • Providing support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping to define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and preferred methodology of the organization
  • Calculating the estimates for the change requested by the business and solicit the approval on cost estimates from the Project Managers
  • Working independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams
  • Work with the Lead Product Manager and support them to evangelize roadmaps and run them through forums to gather support and drive adoption

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of Business Analysis in Banking domain (preferably Retail banking)
  • Experience in Agile methodology and understanding of Agile ceremonies
  • Experience of writing user stories/EPICS in JIRA
  • JIRA tool and confluence exposure
  • Exposure to writing JQL queries
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Requirements elicitation skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good understanding of as-is and to-be states in context of business requirements
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-learner, ability to work independently, and good co-ordination skills with others
  • Ability to articulate requirements in business terminology
  • Good documentation skills
  • Language Proficiency (English)
  • Good understanding of Banking fundamentals

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Past experience in Java development would be desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience in Interface analysis (API field mappings etc.), good to have basic understanding of API's
