Introduction:

A brief description of the role.

• Responsible for business requirements, in line with Business Expectations and Group Strategy

• Working with the relevant Product Manager, Project Manager, Lead Solutions Designer, or Technology Partner - responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the original solution

• Support the development of systems strategy and plan for the supported business area

• Provide ad-hoc consultancy as required to the delivery team, including but not limited to Development, Testing and Implementation teams

What will you be doing?

The role holder will be primarily responsible for Requirement analysis and specification through to data analysis co-relating client, business and colleagues (operations) impact and experience. The delivery focused role will work closely with the project and business stakeholders to ensure smooth change management.

• Own and manage requirement related aspects of the change delivery life cycle from inception, solution design through to implementation and post implementation support

• Work in-line with overall Barclays strategy across Technology delivery and Business operations change

• Identify, quantify, plan and control all business design and analysis related activity on change projects

• Identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders.

• Manage multiple work streams of project activity

• Requirements elicitation and documentation, using User Stories

• End-to-end requirements management and traceability, both functional and non-functional

• Working closely with various stakeholders

• Impact analysis, both business and technical, working closely with architects and solution designers

• Coordination of and hands-on assistance with Different testing phases including User Acceptance Testing and Live proving

• Work as a liaison among project stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate features for new functionality. Serves as the SME for business and functional domain knowledge; working closely with the Product Owner

• Create, groom and maintain the project feature and story backlog in addition to any changes to those requirements. Participates in joint design sessions to groom and document features and stories.

• Create feature and story backlogs that are clear and straightforward.

Your Role:

Evaluation, Design and Planning (70%)

Evaluation

• Provide a data-driven high level view of proposed solutions ensuring alignment with the business objectives/benefits

• Assess and design new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project

• Support business case development in support of designs

Design

• Provide support to business design and business analysis functions on projects

• Review the to-be business process design to understand organisation/role impacts and create role descriptions for business process roles

• Oversee the delivery of pragmatic business and operational design solutions which maximise benefits while achieving the desired business outcomes

• Work with business representatives to produce clear (testable/measurable) technical requirements

Manage

• Ensure all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered during development of requirements and designs

• Manage interdependencies across projects/programmes and leverage synergies across projects/programmes to maximise return on investment.

• Lead / contribute (as appropriate) to Project, Programme and Cluster-level Design Authorities

Partnerships (15%)

• Develop a thorough understanding of user environment, business objectives and goals

• Work closely with other team members and other areas to deliver requirement artefacts that meets customer and colleague objectives

• Support the building and nurturing of relationships to ensure all business, operational and IT change activity is assessed to ensure 'fit' and 'capability' within and across target user base

• By harnessing a shared culture, identify current operational gaps/hotspots and help to put in place solutions to resolve

• Ensure Key Stakeholder feedback is provided and acted upon

Testing/Piloting (15%)

• Coordinate and perform necessary testing and validation involving SME and end users as appropriate to ensure confidence in the outputs

• Train end users as required at varying levels in the organisation

What we're looking for:

• Has ability to investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make disciplined decisions based on available information.

• Is able to identify and explores opportunities for service and business improvement.

• Is aware of and understands agile methodology and how to apply the agile mindset to all aspects of their work.

• Has ability to identify and pinpoint business opportunities to allow organisations to perform more effectively.

• Exposure to toolsets across Requirements documentation, Configuration Management and Quality assurance

• Payments/ Acquiring domain knowledge / experience. Good understanding of Customer Journeys in the Acquiring

• Worked in Tools that are used for Capturing Requirements in Agile(Jira, Rally etc.)

• Ability to understand the requirements and communicate /disseminate the same effectively to multiple stakeholders

• Previous experience on projects having ISO8583, Standard 70 implementations

• Knowledge of FX transactions, Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)

• Exposure to ISO20022, Nexo standards

• Exposure to Alternate Payments, Payment gateways

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Exposure to Product Owner roles and responsibilities

• Technical knowledge will be a benefit to assist with data analysis

• Knowledge of design concepts like Web services design concepts like micro services, request response, API, REST, SOAP, SOA, RAML reviews etc at a high level under preferred skills
