Role Description

Core Cash Equities Technology solve some of the most interesting and complex challenges in the financial industry to help our global business and its customers succeed. Business Support function is run out of 3 core regions - EMEA, APAC, and US.

The EMEA Cash Equity IT Team based in London, forms a conduit between the various PODs and the different arms of EMEA business and support functions like trading desks/Compliance/Product Control etc. It is our job to ensure smooth delivery of challenging and complex tasks wherein we bring in our SME knowledge as well as co-ordination skills to the forefront.

Responsibilities

Act as senior SME in Cash Equity space in EMEA Business Support team. Perform indepth analysis/investigation of workflows/systems to enable build and migration to new strategic platform.

The Business Analyst will join the EMEA Cash Equity IT Team in London.  We are currently working on the demise of current vendor solution and are in the process of building our own in house Order Management and Primary Trading system. The candidate will be expected to perform in depth analysis on the various workflows that currently reside in the current vendor platform and work with developers to ensure the right level of functionality is built in the new platform.

Each team member is expected to take responsibility as the lead analyst on one or more workflows and verticals and also assist other team members.  The team as a whole is responsible for the consistency, quality and coherence of the overall solution definition.  Flexibility is given with regards to home working.

The candidate will also be responsible for tracking delivery items assigned to them, get involved in testing (manual and automated) and ensuring the changes are successfully released in production.

The role offers significant exposure to front office trading and a chance to work with various elements involved in cash equity trading.

• In depth Cash Equities knowledge – reg reporting knowledge would also be great
• Excellent analytical skills
• Project Management and task tracking ability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Both a teamwork approach and self-sufficiency
• Ability to work flexibly and take responsibility for all areas of work as required.
• Previous experience of delivering front office change in a global team
• SQL skills to run useful data queries
