Cox Communications is searching for Business Analyst to join the Integrated Network Planning Team. You will be part of a team who focuses on enabling and operationalizing the evolution of Cox’s network. You will work with internal business groups on reviewing and analyzing the material needs to support our business objectives. You will measure, evaluate, and assess risks in achieving these business goals. 

Role Summary Performs research and fact-finding to create business requirements for development of end-user programs, operational procedures and support. Communicates these processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that applications accurately meet business users' goals. The Planning Analyst works closely with other members of the technical teams to ensure business objectives are met.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 

•    Consults with internal customers, cross-functional team members and external vendors to achieve agreed-upon business objectives  •    Assist in maintaining tools for measuring, modelling and forecasting network material requirements, infrastructure capacity needs, and related performance

•    Performs full range of business analysis and opportunities. Develop reports and analysis to verify data and process quality as well as support procedures to feedback quality problems for owning teams for resolution

•    Assists in the development of financial forecasting and business planning. Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in analytical procedures or cross-functional methods

•    Supports both the evaluation and quantification of risks to the operational plan

•    Understand the operational cycle of network planning including Plan of Intent development and Plan of Record execution

•    Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally both within the Engineering organization and with other Cox departments 

•    Participates in business strategy & portfolio level discussions

Qualifications:

Minimum: 

•    2 years or more year of experience preferred in related discipline (i.e. project management, network planning) •    Strong knowledge of excel, database and/or database management

•    Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Preferred: 

•    BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).   â€¢    Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
