Job summary
Amazon is seeking an exceptional Business Analyst to join the team. The person in this position will play a key role in supporting the automation roadmap as part of the defect elimination org.

This person will own the design, development and deployment of data visualization and communication tools, suite of automated reports/ solutions and workflow tools in line with the organization automation and defect elimination roadmap. This role will involve:

1. Creating, supporting and continuously improving reports and metrics that support the business operations and decision making
2. Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like Quicksight/Tableau
3. Diving deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
4. Review business requirement document and develop automation solutions using Advanced VBA/ Python / Selenium / Java and other similar programming languages.
5. Create workflow tools with a front end user interface and backend database structure in business areas lacking structured tracking of processed transaction/work

Tools used include:
1. SQL (Oracle and Redshift)
2. Excel Advanced VBA
3. Tableau/Quicksight
4. Python/Selenium/Java/ other programming languages

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and driven to provide insightful and timely information to customers. The candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. There is always room to make things better so this candidate should also have the ability to invent and simplify. Lastly, the candidate should have an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis
• Experience with SQL or ETL
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

• 3+ years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/BI/automation space
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Application, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
• Experience in working on Business Intelligence tools
• Solid communication skills and team player
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application or Mathematics
• 3+ years prior experience in a BI role with a technology company or financial institution
• Knowledge of RPA tools (i.e Automation anywhere) and machine learning models
