Job Summary:

Business Affairs plays a pivotal role in the review and approval of merchandise developed by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (as part of Global Product Creation (GPC)). This role will have day-to-day responsibilities to review and clear artwork and other merchandise development content for the Owned & Operated (O&O) and Licensing platforms including, but not limited to, editorial and taglines, patents, copyrights, music licensing, and Merchandise On Demand content by working in a collaborative fashion with key partners in IP Legal, CP Legal, Corporate Brand Management, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Safety, Environmental as well as other Business Affairs team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day Business Affairs function related to product development to review property and third party rights obligations and approvals for the merchandising of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products’ film franchises and Theme Park properties with appropriate partners.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships with regular, effective and timely communications regarding status of clearance submissions
  • Manage a high volume of art and editorial reviews in the fast-paced environment of Business Affairs including maintaining instances of priority timelines
  • Exercise independent critical thinking, judgement and decision making
  • Maintain records of clearance facilitations including rights information and restrictions of content, as applicable, in SharePoint.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organization, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal, partnership, verbal and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Ability to set processes and to execute workload against those processes

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
