Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Building Services Technician. The focus of the Building Services Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Shift Pattern: This role includes working in non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations.
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
· React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue.
· Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
· Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
· Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
· Management of contractors.
· Maintenance of buildings and outdoor spaces.
· Execute repairing and making improvements to building and infrastructure.
· Assists Technicians repairing and maintaining material handling equipment.
· Completing basic preventative maintenance (PM) routines, documentation and procedures.
· Perform battery changes, and preventive maintenance on batteries.
· Ability to do e-mail communication and data entry for CMMS system.
· Enter downtime data and complete PM sheets in CMMS.
· Electrical, knowledge of basics components.
· Troubleshooting. Ability to identify problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
· Tracking and storing the department’s inventory, including spare parts.
· Support in green keeping.
· Support in winter services

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in the HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical field.
· Experience in supporting Operations with installation and maintenance of display boards, pick/stow carts and receive/pack benches
· Ability to maintain and repair of the Facilities department tools.
· Electrical knowledge of basics components. Use test equipment with the ability to fault find on simple circuitry.
· HVAC- Basic understanding of equipment ability to clean/change filters.
· Plumbing - can shut off water and identify problems. Can carry out basic repairs / unblock drains etc.
· Building lighting - able to change out lights. Troubleshooting of lights, displays and wiring.
· Compressor/Pneumatics- knows what they do and how to take readings. Able to reset, change out filters, oils and basic compressor experience.
· Experience in supporting continuous improvement in department.
· PC competency, Outlook, Word & Excel and Windows OS.
· A minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent

· GCSE/NVQ2 in Electrical/Plumbing/Heating or equivalent discipline.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize different initiatives and work load.
· Ability to work successfully with little supervision.
· Experience of print and apply machines.
· GCSE/NVQ2 in Electrical/Plumbing/Heating or equivalent discipline
