Job Summary –

The Process Technician is responsible for creating and sustaining standard work and work instructions within internal processes. The technician is also responsible for gathering and analyzing data and generating/leading continuous improvement efforts driven from the data. This will include leading and supporting Kaizen events, A3s, and DMAIC projects.

Primary Responsibilities –

  • Create and document Standard Work
  • Collect and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Time Study Analysis
  • Lead, facilitate, and support Kaizen and other LSS events.
  • Lead and support A3s and DMAIC projects
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve production issues
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce/eliminate issues.
  • Drive problem solving and corrective action to improve consistency of line movement on the assembly lines
  • Perform other duties as assigned         

Qualifications –

  •  3-5 years experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
  • Understanding of and experience with the utilization of LSS and problem-solving tools.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all functional areas in the facility
  • Excellent employee relations skills for all interactions
  • Self-starter and detail oriented preferred

Education Requirements – High school diploma or GED required. YB or GB LSS Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements – Lift up to 30 lbs. up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift, push/pull up to 30 lbs

Travel Requirements – 0% - 10%
