Job Summary:

You will be the producer of the line for Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios, working with creative and product design to ensure highest quality, consumer-focused, trend right product lines across all channels of distribution (licensing, flex business models, vertical and wholesale) that build brand equity and meet financial targets.

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Brand Merchandising.

Responsibilities:

SOFTLINES MERCHANDISING

  • Build the daily implementation of the Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios softlines product strategy for Apparel and Accessories
  • Help develop a consumer-focused product strategy that is commercially viable and achieve a worldwide look and feel for the brand
  • Focus on consumer behavior, as well as, customer and market trends, always balancing the art and the science of merchandising to find opportunities, improve brand and delight our consumer
  • Monitor the global competitive landscape and consumer cultural climate to capture opportunity
  • Champion products developed in collaboration with the design teams to maximize trends, anticipate consumer demand and increase product improvement in category
  • Consolidate the product needs from all regions and channels to develop one product brief to design ensuring needs of all businesses are met
  • Partner with Studio, Global Creative, and Marketing teams to bring our content and IP to life and with a brand point of view across the globe
  • Partner with Product Design and Sourcing to bring seasonal product lines for vertical and wholesale business models that meet our goals including sustainability goals
  • Partner with Owned & Operated Merchandising and 3rd Party Commercial teams around the world to shape execution against franchise and product strategies
  • Support the worldwide segmentation at right price/value from value to premium
  • Accomplish opportunities to use products, co-brands and collaborations globally
  • Track development counts, adoption measurements and cost of goods sold targets
  • Guide execution against a financial plan
  • Brand ambassador to show up as a compelling, dynamic, and knowledgeable in all stages of go to market process and partner interactions where product is discussed
  • Help build compelling stories to sell in and create solutions to promote brand vision and grow sales
  • Champion our diversity and inclusion goals through right product and personal growth
  • Collect and analyze information, brainstorm and make decisions by interpreting data

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Merchandising
  • Experience building an omni-channel product line for a category or categories of business
  • Take advantage of market trends and consumer cultural climate to maximize value creation throughout the trend cycle
  • Guide execution against a financial plan
  • Influence a diverse audience including experience working with external partners and business owners to bring product and assortments to the market
  • Experience working in matrixed and global product companies
  • Experience with brand stewardship and maintain brand integrity
  • Excellent soft skills, effectively transfer information, influence partners and comfort speaking before groups
  • Motivated, forward-looking, reliable, flexible, and detailed
  • Advanced abilities with spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), presentations, and documents
  • Collect and analyze information, brainstorm and make decisions by interpreting data

Preferred Education

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
