Job Introduction
We are looking for a highly skilled brand copywriter who can create impactful, unexpected and compelling messaging for a wide range of channels and formats – from digital advertising to store windows. The Brand Editor will lead brand editorial copy across the Selfridges website, emails and digital marketing channels, supporting the Head of Editorial in creating a best-in-class customer experience for the Selfridges customer.
Role Responsibility
A whizz at turning challenging briefs into standout content, the Brand Editor will be responsible for crafting key brand messaging across our platforms – both online and in store. From producing enticing copy lines for our store windows and thought-provoking campaign messaging to engaging digital advertising copy and brand-enhancing editorial features, you can turn your hand to any copy request large or small.
As the copy lead on all brand projects, you will be a key driver in ensuring the creation of inspiring, industry-leading and relevant digital content that reflects the Selfridges content strategy and creative values. Developing key messaging for calendar events as part of a new 360 initiative and concepting feature ideas for important brand moments, the position requires experience of brand storytelling and positioning across multiple formats and platforms.
Operating as the Selfridges copy ambassador, you will work with the Associate Editor to ensure the Selfridges tone of voice is consistent and cohesive across every messaging touchpoint and develop a series of guidelines for relevant departments.
Experience in print publishing or digital content essential. Digital retail experience preferable.
A minimum of five years’ experience in copywriting.
Excellent writing skills and a keen understanding of the role culture and experience play in retail.
