The Role
- Is in charge of the allocation and distribution of multiple product areas and uses analytical skills and commerical knowledge to make stock and distribution suggestions to ensure maximization of sales and profit for the company.
- Consistantly maintains strong communication between various functions/stakeholders, and acts as the primary point of contact for product teams and attends weekly trade calls and distribution meetings.
- Analyses and monitors best and worst sellers and makes informed recommendations for action, and working in collaboration alongside merch teams to react to trade and maximise sales opportunities.
- Taking responsibility of the distribution of Markdown stock, ensuring product is sent to the most profitable stores in time for sale launch, and continuing to monitor sales performance post launch to establish any opportunities for sending further stock.
- Taking ownership of new store builds for specific product areas, deciding the most appropriate stock package to send and ensuring to allocate in suitable quantities to guarantee the highest sales opportunity for the store.
- Monitoring the companies Intake and Distibution on a weekly basis and ensuring all new intake for your product areas is being distributed to both channels as required and identifying appropriate action to take if not.
- Overseeing the allocation of appropriate seasonal product to our Model store. Liasing throughout the process with product teams, ensuring stock arrives there ahead of set up in suitable quantities.
- Having the ability to prioritse and have a flexible and well organised approach to workload and managing deadlines effectively
- Completes any adhoc analysis for Branch Merchandising, and has the ability to deliver any relevant reporting including Monday Trade reports for senior management and uses iniative to help identify any stock issues and suggests corrective actions.
- Being a strong, positive role model to other BMA's, carrying out training for new starters when required, and stepping into ABM role when line manager is absent.
- Contributing ideas and solutions which have commerical gain.
About you
- Previous Job experience in a similar Administrative/ data analytical role- preferably retail
- Good initiative and problem-solving skills and pays acute attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independantly, unsupervised
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast paced, high pressured environment
- Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills
- Computer literate – Strong Microsoft office specifically Excel
- Retail experience is essential with strong commerical awareness
