Global Proposal Services (GPS) is a team of business program managers working on pre-sales deliverables across Microsoft ecosystems. We partner with One Microsoft pursuit teams to deliver messaging strategies, proposals, presentations, etc. Success means new revenue for the business and improvements to deal quality, compliance, and deal velocity.

As the GPS Manager for our Romania Full Time Employees (FTEs) and India Contractors, you will manage proposal managers, proposal writers and graphic specialists utilizing industry best practices to develop and deliver Microsoft’s strategic value. Our objective is to address customer business priorities for clients around the globe and this role will have a primary focus in EMEA and APJ.

The GPS Manager will lead a team that has a customer obsessed focus on delivering solutions that enhance satisfaction, performance and/or business value for Microsoft’s customers. The GPS Manager leads a team that supports end-to-end delivery of products, services, processes, or technologies (through projects and programs), by using established project, program, and process management methodologies. You will need to build trusted partnerships to enable great experiences and to developbuildrunand improve consistent, predictable, and measurable processes and services that align with policies, procedures, and expectations.

  • Manage a team of Proposal Specialists - Proposal Managers, Proposal Writers and Graphic Specialists. This includes all aspects of delivering highly competitive, compliant, quality deliverables/artifacts.  Drives the execution of customer deliverables, RFXs responses by setting priorities, removing barriers and obstacles, and allocating resources. Partners and collaborates with field leadership including sales managers, architect leads, contract managers and pursuit lead managers.

Qualifications

Qualification :

  • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate team demands and act ahead of directed guidance,
  • Skilled in communicating clearly and with purpose in both written and verbal communications,
  • Organized and detail oriented with proven project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects concurrently,
  • Comfortable working in a global environment across cultural boundaries, and
  • Approachable and can maintain a cool and focused persona under pressure in ambiguous or complex situations.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing distributed presales teams across the globe. Exposure to teams based out of Romania and India (current GPS hubs) team would be a plus.
  • 8+ years of people management experience.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, with a master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in proposal development or business development.
  • Proven skills in financial and business management.
  • APMP industry certification(s) that illustrate understanding of industry best practices and or Shipley certifications. Practitioner certification is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Shipley methodologies, including capture management methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to achieve results, strategic thinking & alignment/ability to act as evangelist & catalyst to customer solutions.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, and Flexible & willing to work off hours outside of current time zone as needs dictate.
