We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Boston Whaler Group Finance Department to support the Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center (BBGTC).  The BBGTC is primarily responsible for the new product development for many of Brunswick’s boat brands which includes Boston Whaler.  The BBGTC is located in Edgewater, FL and while the preference is the position be based in Edgewater, remote and hybrid work consideration is possible.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly financial close which includes, but is not limited to, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions (inventory and allocations) and submitting results.
  • Assist the BBGTC Leadership Team with monthly forecast and actual reporting related to P&L, Balance Sheet and CapEx.  Assist on an annual basis with Budget and Strategy planning.
  • Assist with developing and reporting KPIs for the BBGTC and Boston Whaler which are utilized by both Senior Leadership Teams.  The KPIs focus on operations, spending and new product financial performance.
  • Provide Financial Leadership as member of New Product Development Core Teams responsible for developing full P&L and documenting key assumptions driving P&L, auditing P&L changes as the project progresses through HPPD gates and periodic report outs.
  • Assist with BBGTC and Boston Whaler Group audits, tax reporting and corporate reporting.
  • Develop tools and processes to ensure company assets are appropriately protected and accurately reported.
  • Assist with Boston Whaler model year and new option pricing focusing on standard bill of materials (BOM), commodity cost assumptions (inflation) and labor cost.

Qualifications:

  • BSBA in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • CMA or CPA license preferred, but not required.
  • Preference towards experience with manufacturing and publicly traded companies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal, with all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and create effective KPIs to improve business results.
  • Ability to evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement (Lean Six Sigma approach).
