The Role 

We’re growing and looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product Content team in the User Experience Organization. The Product Content team is a mighty group of writers who strive to deliver accurate, concise, and well-written technical documentation, online help, error messages, UI text, and other content that help our users to perform their tasks. 

We’re seeking someone with unique skills and qualities, to add to the diversity of our group. Someone who shares a knack for analyzing and understanding user needs, in order to effectively advocate for them. We’re a fluid, collaborative product team: you’ll work closely with Technical & UX Writers, Designers, Researchers, Developers, and Product Managers. At Boomi you will

• Plan, create, and maintain software documentation for a highly technical product.

• Work closely with engineering teams to understand requirements and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content.

• Collaborate cross functionally and with other writers to address customer feedback, maintain internal process documentation, and work on strategic content initiatives.

• Use software and issue-tracking tools to verify the accuracy of your work.

• Adapt to a fast-paced, multi-team agile environment with a willingness to work on competing priorities and to learn and grow.

Our ideal candidate

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing. You may have written content for enterprise software products, cloud apps, iPaas, developer docs, security technologies, etc.

• Strong technical aptitude, ability to analyze specifications, research technical concepts, and communicate them clearly in plain language.

• Familiarity with structured authoring, content management systems, and version control.

Additional Experience Desired

• Experience with localization, accessibility best practices, and creating content for global audiences.

• Author using XML-based tools, markdown, or Github.

• Write API documentation and/or SDKs.
