The Role 

We’re growing and looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our Product Content team in the User Experience Organization. The Product Content team is a mighty group of writers who strive to deliver accurate, concise, and well-written technical documentation, online help, error messages, UI text, and other content that help our users to perform their tasks. 

We’re seeking someone with unique skills and qualities, to add to the diversity of our group. Someone who shares a knack for analyzing and understanding user needs, in order to effectively advocate for them. We’re a fluid, collaborative product team: you’ll work closely with Technical & UX Writers, Designers, Researchers, Developers, and Product Managers. At Boomi you will:

• Plan, write, and maintain documentation for a highly technical product. You'll write technical documentation for cloud apps,  API management, automation, and more. 

• Adapt to a fast-paced, multi-team agile environment with a willingness to manage multiple complex projects, lead time-sensitive projects, and to learn and grow.

• Work closely with engineers to understand requirements, gather information, and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. You’re curious & dig in so you understand not just how the product works, but why it matters & the value added.

• Collaborate cross functionally and with other writers to address customer feedback, improve processes, and lead strategic content initiatives.

Our ideal candidate

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing. You may have written content for complex enterprise software products, cloud, iPaas, developer docs, network technologies, etc.

• Strong technical aptitude, ability to analyze specifications, research technical concepts, and communicate them clearly and precisely in plain language.

• Familiarity with structured authoring, docs-as-code, content management systems, and version control.

Additional Experience Desired

• Experience with localization and accessibility best practices and creating content for global audiences.

• Experience using XML-based authoring tools, or markdown, or Github.

• Write API documentation and/or SDKs
