The Admin & Security team builds software and capabilities to keep our customers’ data secure and private. We build application enhancements that improve our login experience, user management, and platform security.

Security practices and standards are constantly evolving. New attack vectors and threats can appear overnight, and we need to be able to respond to them.

Join us as a Application Security Architect on the Admin & Security team based â€‹ (Remote/Virtual) to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. This role may also be full-time remote. Core working hours are normal business hours in the Eastern time zone.

What you’ll achieve

As a Application Security Architect â€‹, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and helping customers meet their business goals while maintaining a secure, compliant, and user-friendly environment.

You will:

• Take a leadership role in designing and driving efforts for security enhancements, incident / triage response, and security capability maturity throughout our application ecosystem.

• Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes to ensure up front and pervasive security considerations.

• Serve as an evangelist for the application security culture in our organization. Work closely with other team leads on application security best practices and processes to continuously improve Boomi’s application security posture across our product and platform landscape.

• Work with Dell’s security team to help improve Boomi’s ability to respond to security incidents.

• Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery and support

• Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements

• 13+ years of software development experience

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly

• Strong development/programming experience in OOP languages like Java/C#

• Knowledge of web technologies like JavaScript, HTTP, and REST

• Experience building and leading general application security improvements in a multi-tenant, cloud based platform

• The ability to effectively communicate software architectures, designs, and security concepts both verbally and in writing

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with threat modeling

• Experience with penetration testing techniques

• Experience with vulnerability analysis

• Experience with OWASP top 10/SANS Top 25 vulnerabilities

• Experience with functional programming like JavaScript/lambdas
