This position sits within the Client Compensation & 12B1 Billing team and is primarily responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to senior management and both internal and external business partners. This role is highly analytical and requires an individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced and complex organization while working in a team-oriented environment.

The group is looking to hire a Billing Manager to handle compensation payments to FI Intermediaries and 401K clients and assist with team development. The billing manager will perform the activities and oversight necessary to ensure compliance with prospectus and contractual agreements and provide supervisory and developmental assistance to the team along with support new associate training, education, and development.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management with 3+ year(s) related work experience

  • Previous supervisory, management or leadership experience in financial services

  • Proficiency with analytical and financial tools (Excel, Access, Business Objects)

  • Advanced skill knowledge in Excel with utilization of pivot tables and vlookups is strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to quickly understand complex issues

  • Ability to apply logical thought to problem solving and data challenges

  • Outstanding mentoring skills and ability to empower associates to grow and develop

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple detailed processes in a time critical environment

  • Proven written and oral communication skills – can articulate clearly with all levels of employees

  • Desire to learn and grow and the curiosity you bring to work everyday

  • Understanding of financial principles and systems

  • Focus on innovation and operational improvement

  • Ability to lead key initiatives with business partners and other cross functional teams

  • Shown history of leading within your group as a supervisor and individual contributor while also being a point of contact, or Subject Matter Expert, for business partners

The Team

The client compensation team is responsible for the delivery of $900M in compensation payments annually, we protect Fidelity’s reputation and bottom line by following compensation regulations and ensuring the highest accuracy. Our dedication to our clients is demonstrated by:

  • Supporting the compensation process by validating trade and asset-based compensation, calculating revenue share payments, and ensuring accurate and timely payment delivery

  • Providing solutions to client compensation inquiries and complex issues

  • Communicating with internal business partners and external clients.

  • Implementing operational improvements to improve efficiency, minimize risk and reduce expenses
