BEAUTY TECHNICAL MATERIAL OWNER

Delivers executional excellence in Materials Development procedural work and experimentation and applies this knowledge to provide foundational understanding and capability for the team, contribute to the planning and execution of a broad range of technical tests, summarize these tests independently, and make correlations to in-depth observations.

The Beauty Raw Materials group is seeking an innovative and motivated individual to help build and maintain best in-class raw material supply chains for our Global Beauty manufacturing sites. Critical to this role is to assure cost, quality, reliability, and compliance requirements are met throughout the raw material and finished product supply chains. The person in this role will support end to end technical development of Beauty material classes to deliver material savings, maintain ongoing operation of the business, and enable the success of initiatives via qualification of new suppliers/materials.

Qualifications

• Technical Mastery – Strong chemistry understanding with the ability to understand supplier’s feedstock and manufacturing processes and translate this knowledge to help define qualification programs, resolve quality issues, and identify potential savings opportunities.
• Operates with Discipline - Able to quickly assess and recommend appropriate actions when material quality and/or supply risks happen. Beauty is a regulated business that requires technical rigor and excellence in execution to deliver projects on time and at cost targets.
• Collaboration – Ability to effectively work across multiple functions and Beauty categories.
• Communication – Ability to clearly create, document, and communicate material class strategies and plans to other P&G functions and new supplier candidates across regions and time zones.
• Embraces Change: The candidate must be open to new ideas/approaches and provide own recommendations on how to improve work processes and savings program.
