Job Accountabilities

• Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required
• Ensures all safety equipment, guards, and devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules
• Maintains housekeeping n work area
• Communicate with QC when quality problems are noted and pallets are tagged
• Inspect finished pallets for scratches, bad litho or other quality defects
• Rethread stapper with banding material
• Enters information into a computer to generate labels for the pallets
• Prints tickets for pallets
• Place Label on pallet to indicate production and customer information
• Cleans banding heads
• Check tension on bander and fill out certification sheet to note whether bander is acceptable
• Voids tickets not used during the shift
• Adds paper and change ribbon for the labeling machine
• Fill out paperwork for accepted or rejected pallets
• Reads SOP’s and other workplace postings in work area.

Job Requirements

• 2-4 years manufacturing/production experience
• Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.  The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repetitively.  Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes.  The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.  The noise level is usually loud.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
