Attraction Assistants - Seasonal Temporary opportunities - multiple opportunities
Based: National Waterways Museum (Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, Cheshire CH65 4FW) or Anderton Boat lift (Northwich, Cheshire,CW9 6FW)
Working hours: Part time - 2-3 days per week, March - October 2022
Did you know some episodes of Peaky Blinders were filmed at the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port, as well as Tolkien’s The Hobbit & The Antiques Roadshow?
And did you know that Anderton Boat Lift was built in 1875 and still carries narrowboats 50ft up in the air and people travel from all over the world to see it?
Both of these amazing places can be found right here in Cheshire, alongside the wonderful rivers and canals of the Canal & River Trust.
These iconic venues are so unique and so special that we are on a mission to ensure that visitors have a fantastic welcome and a memorable visit, and that is where the Seasonal Attraction Assistants excel. We are looking to increase our teams during our busy season, between April & October, to ensure that every visitor has a memorable experience.

As an Attraction Assistant you will be part of a team working across different departments of retail, food and beverage, as well as providing a wonderful warm welcome to everyone you see, doing your utmost to make sure that every visit is memorable. The role is incredibly diverse and may include welcoming tour groups, selling peaky blinders merchandise, assisting with events and activities, making the most amazing cappuccino's & tasty sandwiches, directing families around the site, selling ice cream, dressing up in traditional costume, assisting with demonstrations and working very closely with volunteers and the national collections and archives team….. the list of activities goes on and can be very diverse.
In addition, to the Attraction Assistants described above we are looking for Attraction Assistant (Admin) at Anderton Boat Lift to specifically support the team with the increasing administration tasks that our summer season brings, as well as supporting the other departments.

About the role
Both attractions, National Waterways Museum (Ellesmere Port) & Anderton Boat Lift (Northwich) are aiming to be open 7 days per week in 2022 and there are multiple seasonal roles available.
Shift rota's are provided in advance. Full training & uniforms will be provided.
