The campus is due to be completed in December 2023 and will consist of two interconnected buildings, as well as landscaped surrounding areas.
JOB PURPOSE
Surf is one of the largest brands within Unilever UKI’s Home Care category (RSV over €135m, +5% value sales).
Surf is trusted by people around the world and in the UK to deliver clean laundry and long lasting fragrance at great value. In recent years Surf has gone from strength to strength delivering strong penetration, sales and share growth. Consumers love Surf not only for fantastic fragrances and great value but also for being a positive and uplifting brand with a light-hearted take on laundry. The brand is now crafted and developed locally in key markets and our communication is hyper-relevant to the UK, including the current ‘Perf with Surf’ communications that feature reality TV star Dani Dyer, and moving forward new brand ambassador is British Celebrity Gemma Collins. Playful limited editions and new fragrances also form a key element of the brand’s growth plan.
Surf is also becoming ever more sustainable with more concentrated formulations, less plastic and more renewable ingredients as part of our Home Care Clean Future strategy.
We are looking for a passionate, business-savvy and digitally smart marketer with an appetite to help drive transformational growth and take this fantastic brand to even greater heights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be supporting the Brand Manager in the implementation & execution on the Surf brand in the UKI Home Care market, driving growth through marketing activities.
This will include:
Supporting the Brand Manager in implementing the UK brand strategy and development of the marketing programmes and purpose-led programmes.
Supporting the Brand Manager in the development of local creative assets working closely with creative agencies.
Assisting with the commercial delivery of the brand incl. monitoring and reporting in market performance and action planning.
Delivering campaigns and marketing activities: collaborating across functions, teams & agencies; bringing teams together to deliver strong digitally led, omnichannel marketing plans.
Support the launch of innovations, working with cross-functional teams and the innovation project leads to deliver on time and in full, and review with post launch evaluations and 100 day tracking.
Crafting content with a digital-first mindset and working closely with the Digital Hub team to deliver this with excellence to consumers, tracking, monitoring and assessing performance on-going in order to optimise and adapt.
Representing Home Care within the business, as the key source of knowledge on brand performance and plans.
Presenting to Retailers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Managing projects & budgets.

Strong project management skills, with proven success of leading team/s to execute challenging & complex projects.
The ability to work confidently and productively with multiple cross functional teams, with strong communication, presentation skills and stakeholder influencing abilities.
Have a balance of creativity & science: can think creatively & strategically, with strong business mindset. Being commercially minded with proven track-record of successfully managing a P&L and budgets. Be creative with an eye for aesthetic & design, a passion for creative excellence & with experience developing communications and assets.
Numeracy & data analysis skills for insight development.
You are hungry to understand all the nuances of new categories/segments and emerging channels: have high standards, attention to detail and have an entrepreneurial and ‘can-do’ approach, be able to work with and unlock change and complexity to deliver results.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.
In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
