Associate Software Engineer - Bag, Checkout & Premier

As a Software Engineer in our 30 engineering platforms operating at hyper-scale receiving thousands of requests per second, you’ll work as part of strong cross functional Agile teams driving quality and technology bringing your skills and experience to share with the team. From problem solving to new concept ideas, you have the genuine opportunity to unleash your full potential and creativity on a variety of ASOS software projects.  

Have you ever wondered how the purchasing experience of ASOS's 20 million customers is supported? In the Bag, Checkout, and Premier team, we're responsible for tying all the important microservices together into a seamless user journey that is core for the ASOS experience. We build and manage the biggest integration service in ASOS, which served over 2000 Requests per second during Black Friday 2020 and over 27m bags created during the entire period. As such high-availability, resilience, and performance are core to everything we do in the team. Our tech stack utilises industry leading Microsoft Technologies (including Azure SQL Server, Redis, Application Insights, .Net Framework), Octopus Deploy, Team City. We are also embarking on a replatforming effort to transform our services to use .Net Core, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps. 
 
As an Engineer on the Bag, Checkout, and Premier team, you will be given the opportunity to hone and improve your skills with full end-to-end ownership of the services you deliver. We strive for agility and value engineers taking features from design and seeing them through to completion.
