THE OPPORTUNITYDo you love understanding how and why things work? Do you have knack for seeing how things come together? As an Associate Researcher in our Grooming Care R&D Team in Mason, OH, you will use your curiosity, data analysis and technical experience to translate complex results into simple conclusions. These insights will have a meaningful influence on our business strategy and will enable our multi-functional retail and brand teams to win with consumers and deliver sustainable results for our Company
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Hands-on laboratory experimentation, developing foundational understanding with regard to established test methods and the factors that influence and impact product performance evaluations.
- Prepare, execute and summarize routine tasks and experiments based on established methods, including product/formula preparation (e.g. labeling, prototyping), physical determinations (e.g. rheology), product performance, product stability.
- Record data, accurately, completely and compliantly in lab notebooks.
- Grow knowledgeable in the role of different technologies & raw materials on the desired performance, in-use properties and cost of relevant products.

- Demonstrate good manufacturing principles leading to consistent, reproducible results
- Use their data to influence decisions with their recommendations.
- Have passion about discovering new things and the ability to learn quickly
Qualifications
- Background in a STEM field (Chemistry, Biology, Math, Engineering, Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or related field).
- Currently reside within commuting distance to the Mason Business Center
PREFERRED:
- 2 year degree in a STEM field or relevant technical certifications
- Experience with Research & Development
- Lab experience with wet chemistry
