Our location in IRVING, TX  currently has an opportunity for an ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER, ELECTRO-MECHANICAL DEVICES

This position will be responsible for subcomponent of a project and/or assists Project Manager.   Confirms completion of activities with cross-functional team, coordinates among team members.  Follows quality/regulatory requirements.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Expertise and Problem Solving Duties:

  • Coordinate input from multiple areas with assistance from manager.

  • Clarify project objectives and strategies, develop timelines and milestones with assistance from manager.

  • Develop a preliminary implementation plan.  Propose contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.

  • Able to write a design and development plan as required by QA/RA.

  • Translate project goals into project tasks.  Define the nature of the stated business or technical problem.

  • Resolve current issues, learn, and adjust based on prior results.

  • Recognize the broader implications of actions and proposals on the final project outcome

  • Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems and work to resolve them.

  • Analyze date for true causes of problems.

  • Accountability/Required Supervision:

  • Negotiate schedules, milestones, and resource requirements to meet project outcomes.

  • May function as the project contact with third party vendors.

  • Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks under direct or matrix control.

  • Leadership Activities:

  • Solicit the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions in a tactful and persuasive manner.

  • Lead others in the completion of project tasks.

  • Assist in the decision-making process.

  • Creates a work environment that supports team effectiveness.

  • Level of interpersonal skills:

  • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, and project staff

  • Prepare and presents written and oral reports and other presentations. Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree in a discipline appropriate to projects

  • 1 year of experience to understand systems and procedures.  Limited project management experience, with demonstrated leadership skills on portions of a project or other activities. 

PREFERRED:

  • 3+ years project management experience focusing on electromechanical devices/components in a regulated industry (medical devices, automotive, aerospace, defense)

  • Experience working within technical functions (engineering, quality, etc).

Note: This position is based in Irving, TX. No relocation support is available.
