Cox Automotive is looking for an experienced marketing professional to support the Manheim and NextGear Capital Content Marketing team, which is part of the Manheim and NextGear Capital Marketing organization. This Associate Manager, Content Marketing, will support the Brand Marketing team by partnering with internal marketing colleagues to executives on content strategy recommendations for brand initiatives that aim to drive traffic, deliver leads and/or drive client engagement as the business objectives require.

Working with the Manager, Content Marketing, the Associate Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and production of all campaign deliverables associates with the content strategy across a range of forms such as web, email, video, display, social and sales collateral

The Associate Content Marketing Manager will work closely with internal marketing stakeholders to understand the “brief”, partner with the Channel Marketing team to provide all content for go-to-market plans and manage timelines and approvals for all content creative production to ensure seamless execution of the required deliverables by leveraging a mix of resources including in-house, agency, and individual content creation expertise. This role reports to the Manager, Content Marketing

Facilitating Manheim and NextGear Capital ongoing content planning needs, and managing the day-to-day execution of all content creation delivered to specifications for roll-out

Bringing new ideas and content best-practices to development and execution of a wide variety of assets. This role should be comfortable with hands on content creation producing copy, advertisements, video, tutorials, emails, etc.

Assessing creative to ensure on-strategy and best-in-class work is delivered

Reviewing content editorial calendars with internal stakeholders for alignment and feedback

Partnering with Brand team to ensure all content ladders up to the Manheim and NextGear Capital brands

Consolidating feedback, and providing efficient and clear direction to empower teams to deliver great work

This position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment. This position will be required to manage many competing deliverables and requests and will need to work with internal stakeholders and partners to prioritize accordingly. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated understanding of the functions of a robust marketing department and/or agency, including content marketing or content strategy and must be self-motivated, organized, flexible and possess the ability to complete projects within aggressive timeframes.

 Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising/Business and 3 years of experience in marketing or advertising fields, with specific experience in Content Development or Content Marketing OR an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in a content marketing, content strategy, or advertising manager role – success in product or solution positioning, creative development and asset production

Collaborative skills – the product marketing manager will collaborate with multiple teams and internal “clients” across the business, namely Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Channel Marketing, Client Marketing, and Field Marketing teams

Excellent Communication skills – written and verbal – the ability to communicate the product benefits and editorial is crucial

Quality Assurance skills – this role will be responsible for developing high quality, accurate creative deliverables and should be comfortable with proofing and understanding a wide range of specifications across formats (print, digital, video, press, social, web content, etc.)

Dual-minded approach: highly creative and excellent writing skills, but also process-driven and rely on data to make content decisions

Tech-savvy – Comfortable with all Microsoft Office suite tools, Marketing Cloud, WordPress, Adobe Creative design skills are a plus

Experience managing creative resources (internal or external agencies)

Strong presentation, storytelling and writing skills

Highly organized and strong project management skills with experience using tools such as Monday.com, Workfront, Teams

Ability to operate under pressure and with tight timelines

Self-motivated and entrepreneurial

Experience with OEM clients/automotive industry
