Job Description

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Associate Manager of Benefits Communication to execute our vision to improve employee understanding and appreciation for Colgate benefits, deliver a personalized, up-to-date experience, and measure impact to support data-based decisions. The Associate Manager of Benefits Communication will be a part of our Global Total Rewards organization and will partner with other Colgate teams including Communications, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and IT to advance our employee benefits engagement.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the Associate Director of Employee Engagement and other team members to develop communications to support benefits education and engagement strategies
  • Create content and reimagine delivery to provide employees with a modern, consumer-grade benefits experience
  • Partner with other Colgate teams to optimize use of current technologies and identify areas to leverage new technologies
  • Plan, write and deliver benefits communications, including informal, formal and technical content for a variety of audiences, from plant workers to executives
  • Develop a framework to manage legally required communications such as Summary Plan Descriptions; manage the upkeep of such items
  • Ensure digital content is current and relevant
  • Use data to measure benefits engagement and develop insights around opportunities for improvement
  • Reinvent how we communicate benefits to attract and onboard candidates, as well as for other significant life events (e.g., retirement)
  • Use population segmentation to deliver targeted, relevant information
  • Focus on continuous improvement in your work and in how we deliver to employees
  • Maintain good documentation of work and processes
  • Initial focus on US benefits, with future expansion to total rewards and potentially global matters
  • Develop materials for reporting progress to management
  • Undertake other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-10 years of meaningful experience in Communication or Marketing is required
  • Benefits experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in cross functional teams to drive solutions
  • Ability to complete concurrent projects of varying size and complexity
  • Diligent to detail and responsive to deadlines
  • Self-motivated; ability to work on your own with strong follow-through
  • Knowledge of or eagerness to learn Microsoft Excel and Google collaboration tools skills
