The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in one of the following locations:

  • Seattle, WA

  • Tukwila, WA

This role will support testing across multiple lab test capabilities (i.e. Structures, Aerodynamics, and Mechanical/Electrical Systems)

This position is for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrates and operates instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems to achieve test requirements that encompass the full spectrum of testing

  • Analyzes, reviews and validates test data

  • Verifies collection of complete data set

  • Maintains test logs, prepares test reports for review and archives data

  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data

  • Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data

  • Prepares and publishes test reports

  • Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems

  • Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan

  • Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods

  • Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of instrumentation processes, methods, and tools

  • Assists in conducting research in test instrumentation technologies to improve efficiency and capability

  • Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions

  • Designs simple component level hardware or software

  • Uses analytical tools to verify the design

  • Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Instrumentation

  • Electrical engineering experience

  • Experience with sensors, data acquisition systems, control systems and components.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
