Job Summary:

The Associate Design Manager is responsible for creating Global Design for consumer product style guides from concept to final artwork. Handles projects at all levels of complexity. Works under general supervision. Meets deadlines under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of original, Global consumer product Style Guides and Portfolios across multiple properties and cross company divisions from start to finish
  • Create innovative designs, typography, patterns, logos and marketing materials (illustration skill is a plus)
  • Fresh and innovative creative thinker who is detailed, organized, able to multi-task, project manage workload while staying on schedule and budget
  • Self-starter, problem solver, collaborator with positive attitude
  • Create trend/mood boards
  • Stay current with fashion/product trends in the marketplace
  • Understands Graphic Design and Branding/Packaging how it translates to products for all target demographics globally
  • Contribute new product ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions
  • Able to present creative concepts on both formal and informal settings
  • Reporting into Sr. Manager, this candidate would work with all levels in the organization and have the aptitude to navigate culture
  • Adaptable and agile in fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience in entertainment studios, graphic design, illustration, marketing or merchandise design
  • Understands the principles of graphic design representation and storytelling for cartoon animation, CG animation and live action characters and franchises.
  • Extensive knowledge of Graphic Design & Branding/Packaging
  • Strong Illustration skill is a plus (traditional and digital drawing)
  • Pro-active / Can-do attitude
  • Strong team player with great interpersonal skills; able to work well in collaborative environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suit software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Procreate, Keynote, PPT, Word

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication or related major
