Job Summary:

We are looking for an Associate Franchise Marketing Manager who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define Lucasfilm.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Lucasfilm Franchise Marketing, this role will serve as a marketing resource to the franchise marketing team, supporting the Sr. Manager and broader franchise marketing team with day-to-day marketing and franchise overview activities and assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain marketing execution and planning tools, materials, and documents including but not limited to ongoing development of brand guidelines, guardrail docs, campaign summaries and overviews, to aid in effective planning and tracking of LFL franchise activity and to better inform the cross functional teams and 3rd party partners.
  • Responsible for driving various facets of key marketing activity across the Star Wars franchise including pro-social programs connected to Star Wars Force For Change, working with the Disney Corporate Citizenship team on associated grants and partner activity.
  • Lead marketing and planning for Star Wars Kids initiatives acting as the key liaison/point of contact between multiple SW LOBs and overseeing the creative review process and asset fulfillment on those projects.
  • Manage, coordinate and track all events/promotions taking place for the annual Star Wars fan holiday- May the 4th and running cross LOB mtgs with senior stakeholders. Also responsible for putting together MT4 guidelines/guardrails and toolkits.
  • Support the key marketing lead on Star Wars animation projects and wider LFL Franchise teams
  • Coordinate key franchise marketing activity associated with the bi-annual Star Wars Celebration fan convention including but not limited to the development of panel presentations, marketing collateral, Star Wars Kids booth and various other fan activations.
  • Support domestic franchise marketing team in tracking key project deadlines; develop a thorough understanding of necessary checkpoints (meetings, creative & legal approvals, etc.) to see project through to completion
  • Day to day key franchise liaison as it is related to Lucasfilm IP for cross LOB partners and Disney+ ad hoc projects and programming on an as needed basis including interfacing with key marketing partners, facilitating asset requests and creative review process between partner and LFL internal review
  • Create professional, concise, and well-designed presentations to showcase/recap franchise activity and/or present business case
  • Prepare ad hoc overview documents and presentations, liaising with marketing counterparts across all lines of business to compile/verify accuracy of information
  • Develop strong knowledge of creative asset availability, brand guidelines and legal approvals, to assist in creative approval process as needed
  • Assist the franchise marketing team with concept ideation, brainstorms and development of franchise marketing tactics/ideas to build more robust and compelling campaigns
  • Take on special projects as needed

  • High proficiency in Keynote, Google including: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Media, or Entertainment industry preferred
  • Experience with project management and communications projects
