As an Associate Financial Analyst in Fidelity Investments you are a critical part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to team members, managers, and business partners. You are responsible for producing standard financial reports and other documents and analysis that support the overall Finance function in achieving our strategic and business goals.

The Expertise You Have

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent training

Interest and/or experience with financial modeling

Strong proficiency with Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables)

Thorough understanding of financial principles and systems

Self-starter and great teammate who works collaboratively to achieve the team’s overall goals and objectives

Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with an ability to influence others across the company and build relationships

Ability to innovate and understand the importance of operational improvement and time management

The Value You Deliver

Preparation of reporting for numerous Fidelity business partners, including analysis and support

Perform month-end reporting across multiple product lines and businesses for drivers and metrics such as sales activity, transaction detail, conversions / de-conversions and future dedications.

Preparing daily, weekly and month-end operational reports evaluating and analyzing variances to previous periods, budget and forecast

Working proactively and reciprocally with finance partners to analyze opportunities to migrate reporting to a self-service platform. You will be partnering with businesses to ensure the information provided through reporting tools, presentations and other communications provides the targeted answers to the pertinent questions/initiatives

Ensuring accurate controls, documentation and reviews are in place to alleviate risks

Assist with ad-hoc analysis, reports and presentation materials in support of senior management

Create and deliver reporting and analytical packages that effectively articulates the financial story

Proactive partnership and communication with multiple business and Finance partners

Evaluate and improve standard financial reports and improvement of other processes

Develop a strong understanding of financial results and key performance indicators and apply that knowledge to any variance analyses

Leverage new tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information that evolves with the change of the business

Remains current on the latest best practices of Finance and FP&A and shares those learnings with the function
