Associate Director, Worldwide Commercial Development, Immunology & Fibrosis
Overview
The person in this role will be responsible for working across the Worldwide (WW) Immunology and Fibrosis commercial team to drive brand strategies for products in the pipeline for key therapeutic Immunology & Fibrotic disease areas with an anticipated emphasis on Dermatology and Gastroenterology. This is a critical role given BMS’ ambition to be a leader in Immunology and Fibrosis, and the promising portfolios in each of these therapeutic areas. The position reports to the Head of Immunology and Fibrosis WW Commercial Development.
The Associate Director. WW Commercial Development will play an important role in the development of strategies for pipeline products within the Immunology and Fibrosis portfolio. Core responsibilities include the following:
Pipeline brand Dermatology, Gastroenterology, and Fibrosis Congress planning and execution in partnership with in-line brands where applicable
Data and insights: Partner with BI&A and key markets to conduct market research and real-time monitoring, evaluation of competitive products, and marketplace dynamics to gain stakeholder insight into pipeline brand strategic vision and profile
Support REDOC and CDOC stage gates and drive creation/compilation of commercial materials to obtain commercial leadership endorsement
Organization alignment: Build strong alliances with medical, BI&A, VAP, commercial strategy, agencies, and other key business partners. Drive cross functional awareness, alignment, and accountability to the brand development
Participate on Development teams as needed, representing the interests of the products from a commercial perspective.
Budget management: Make strategic recommendations for investment and manage budgets to commitment
Cultural contributions: Contribute to a culture of collaboration/team spirit, innovation and personal development as part of the WW I&F Team
Qualifications
BA/BS; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry.
Experience in the therapeutic areas of Immunology (specifically Gastroenterology and Dermatology) preferred.
Position requires very strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal and external partners (project leadership, medical, market research, agencies, etc.)
Critical skills include the ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems while utilizing pragmatic problem-solving approaches and strong project/execution management.
Demonstrated ability in driving efficient processes across broad teams and managing/driving progress in a complex organization.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic and increasingly multifaceted environment
High energy, open minded, creative thinker
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation development skills
Able to synthesize complex information into a cohesive streamlined key messages and presentation
The role is located in Princeton Pike, NJ and will normally require up to 25% travel.
