The Associate Director, Corporate Insurance will play an integral role on the insurance team in Corporate Treasury. As the person responsible for supporting the full portfolio of BMS global insurance programs, the Associate Director will have responsibility for placing the various global programs through our established brokers and insurance carriers and ensuring that decisions on risk transference versus self-insurance are properly supported.

Job Responsibilities:
Support the annual renewal and placement of global insurance programs, e.g. property, cyber, D&O, primary casualty, marine cargo, etc.
Support the development of the Senior Manager, Corporate Insurance Interact with captive insurance company managers on directly written and reinsured insurance policies
Liaise with internal stakeholders, e.g. Global Product and Supply Business Continuity Management, medical, Environmental Health & Safety, Global Logistics on risk management issues
Review contracts to ensure insurance requirements adequately protect BMS in case of loss
Oversee quarterly and year-end reserve requirements for self-insured programs Support the timely issuance of insurance certificates for clinical trials, leasing arrangements, discrete events, etc.
Lead the annual budget submission
Prepare Audit Committee presentations, as needed
Support Director, Corporate Insurance on other global insurance programs as needed
Qualifications:
BS/BA or equivalent, MBA or other advanced degree desired
10 years prior business experience in insurance, business, finance, or accounting preferred
