We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Finance Internal Operations to partner and provide financial support to the Phoenix Manufacturing Plant.  

Reporting to the Associate Director of Cost Accounting, this role will be responsible for:

  • Providing financial leadership as a key member of the plant Senior Leadership Team
  • Providing financial oversight for the construction of new multi-product facility.
  • Preparing and Delivering of high quality financial and management reports including reconciling inventory accounts in accordance with US GAAP and monthly management accounts, projections, and annual budget.
  • Monitoring operational performance, variance, and trend analysis.
  • Providing financial and analytical support to support on-going business requirements and strategic initiatives.
  • Providing financial training to Leadership Team members to improve knowledge and forecasting
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives with peers / other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Leading, motivating, providing guidance, and developing direct reports
  • Participating in Intercompany Profit Elimination activities
  • Leading Phoenix annual standard cost calculation and revaluation process and calculate NPI cogs for Phoenix
  • Supporting the Cost Accounting team with Global Requests
  • Working closely with External Manufacturing FP&A partners to optimize and leverage team processes
  • Ensuring the highest standards of stewardship and control are maintained
  • A key aspect of this role is to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with business stakeholders, both internal and external to the Organisation; therefore, superior interpersonal skills are required of the individual.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced qualified accountant with 10 + years experience with a comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, financial analysis, accounting principles, internal controls and business partnering.
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP principles in addition to a proven ability to manage operating budgets, develop strategic plans and anticipate emerging issues would be preferential.
