Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Contracts Management Specialist for the Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) division in Tukwila, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a high performer who is looking to gain valuable experience supporting a derivative aircraft program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide contracting expertise to develop and negotiate proposals and creative business solutions to acquire new business

  • Represent the Contracts function in engagements with government customers, including procurement contracting officers or their foreign equivalents, the Defense Contract Management Agency, and the Defense Contract Audit Agency; other Boeing business units, including Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Global Services (BGS); and program or division leadership

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with government counterparts

  • Support the achievement of program financial goals and objectives, including by facilitating prompt payment and supporting safe and on-time deliveries of aircraft and other deliverables with first-time quality

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Security Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience working with and/or managing contracts with the U.S. government

  • Expertise in U.S. government acquisition laws and regulations

  • Experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial or cross-border contracts

  • Experience contracting with foreign governments and expertise in laws and regulations applicable to foreign military or direct commercial sales

  • Experience working with U.S. government auditors and inspectors

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and
typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:
